I loved the idea of having a fantastic career, but ever since my son was born I don't have the strong drive to be a super career woman anymore (it seems all so trit and meaningless now).... I more or less want to aply my knowledge for design towards raising my son. Anyone have any suggestions for me?

Possibly specializing in children's rooms as an interior designer? Opening a boutique?

I know what you mean... I am a (graphic) designer with my 1st son too. I finally have my creative itch to scratch now at his 6 months though. Our sons are lucky to have creative parents, and if creativity makes you tick you should keep the clock going on it. Modern Mommys are also working mommys, because we have our lives too! However don't feel bad if you want to take a break from work either. The modern world understands that as well! Good Luck — Connie
