Some Resources to Expand the Minds of our Children through Giving Back!
This was a tough one because the resources are books, but I don't think that this should go into the literature section because of the content.
There is a fabulous book called "A Kids Guide to Giving" by Freddi Zeiler. She started this book as a teen and essentially it is a guide to Charitable Organizations. You and your child can sit down, read through the book, which gives a break down of each organization, what their mission is, how the organization spends money, some reviews and then how to contact the organization. This is a great way to show your children that they can start making a change in the world right now and it makes an amazing family activity!
Another one that is pretty cool is "The Everything Kids Environment Book" which teaches childrend how they can help save the environment! There are lots of great activities and experiments that are fun and will keep your tween/teen engaged and ready to save the planet!
Another awesome one is "101 Ways you can help save the Planet before you're 12"
If this should have gone under literature, forgive me, I am new and still learning the ropes in the group!
