About Friends For Fitness

A great walking group for women who are at a beginner's level of fitness and need somewhere to start implementing some exercise in their lives. We'll have two standing walks per week and members can post more if they'd like. Need to move? Need to start slow? Need to feel comfortable with where you're at fitness wise? Need some accountability? Need some motivation? Need a reason to get up and get moving? Then this is the group for you.

Termination of Membership:

This is a topic which I am not happy we need to discuss, but things do happen sometimes, and I suppose it is best to explain it up front.

There may be times when we have to ask members to quit or leave
the group due to problems they are causing or participating in. It is
a very sad and unfortunate time when something like this happens, and we will
do everything we possibly can before we actually feel the need to "ban"
someone from the group.

What sort of action could lead to a banning? It is very simple: any action which
adversely effects the group, how the group is run, events of the
group, members and their safety and well being. Some examples of reasons for removal from club membership might be:

1. Flaming of members. If you don't know what this means, you can
look it up at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flaming

2. A problem between members that is not kept private. Not
keeping these things private will just escalate the problem, and involve the
entire group.

3. Sharing PM's unless you have permission from the person who wrote it. The "P" in PM stands for Private.

4. A person who spreads lies or gossips, thus causing hurt feelings and
arguments;

5. A person who threatens other members; or

6. If a person causes direct problems or threats to the owners and/or managers of the website, thus making managing the group difficult.

These are not the ONLY instances that something like this could happen; these are just examples.

Any person who is found to be a "troublemaker" or a "threat" to the group or the
members will be removed. We always try to work it out before it reaches
this point;

Because Friends For Fitness is NOT an organization, association, non-profit,
corporation, etc. the final say-so in all issues regarding removal from the
club will reside with the forum owner, Lisa Smith.  Friends For Fitness
is simply an organized private group of friends, and it is solely owned and
operated by Lisa Smith.

Friends For Fitness reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to terminate,
cancel, or suspend your access to any or all Friends For Fitness website
and/or group activities and events and the related services or any portion
thereof at any time, without notice. Friends For Fitness may also
terminate or suspend your access to Friends For Fitness if you don't
attend at least one in person event per month. If you have a problem attending
the various scheduled events, please feel free to set a date, time, and
place that would work for you.

Here are some guidelines to help keep our members active, and to keep the peace within the group:

* For the privacy of our members and their families, anything written in
the forum will be considered private information to be shared between active Friends For Fitness members only.

* Respect for one-another's opinions. We all have different views on many
subjects; parenting styles, religion, politics, etc...

* It can be very difficult to understand the intent of a post, the tone
is lost in text. If something can be taken in a negative way, it may not have
been the posters intention. Instead of flying off the handle, please ask for
clarification from the author first.

* Because this is a local group, members who cannot participate in
gatherings, etc., unfortunately, can not remain in the group. Please understand that this is only to maintain the original purpose of the group. It should not be taken as an exclusion to anyone. Remember, there are other ways of communication.

* Friends For Fitness is not the place to advertise your business. It's ok to talk  about your  buisness just don't bother people.  We offer  ONE  forum thread  in which  you can post  services  and /or buisness' offered.

All CafeMom Groups must adhere to the CafeMom Group Guidelines, in addition to any of their own guidelines.
