About a week ago we adopted a 1 1/2 year old Doberman Pinscher to add to our family. He is neutured and a very sweet guy, the problem is that we already have a 2 year old American Pit Bull Terrier who is not neutured and also a very sweet guy. The Doberman is constantly terrorizing the pit bull, and they play so hard that they actually hurt eachother. Now it seems to be more like the Doberman is tormenting the pitbull because the only yelps I am hearing are coming from the pitbull. With that being said, this is all out of playful fighting, but I am very worried that sooner or later the pitbull might get fed up and a nasty fight could break out. I have been keeping them seperate at night to sleep in different rooms of our own, so that the pitbull can get some downtime from his mighty playful friend. Other than that I am at a complete loss on how to keep the pitbull from being tormented to much by the Doberman. If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it! They are both great dogs and fit well in our home, I just dont want any negative feelings to arise out of being constantly annoyed! Thanks
when one of my dogs was naughty, they were sent to their corner for time out.
yeah I know it sounds silly but it worked. They had to stay in their corner until I said to come out. Effective on children too! Lol
