Parrot diet...

I just switched my 2 Congo African Greys to an all organic fruit and veggie diet. They weren't happy at first but now they love it! I can see a huge difference and how their feathers look and also in temperament! We are also giving organic pellets for that extra vitamin boost. I wish we would have got rid if the seed so much sooner! I don't know if there are any parrot moms in here but if there are and you have any questions about what we are feeding or anything please feel free to ask! :)

Lucy(left) and Annie(right) a rare moment when they are not trying to mangle each other!

These are my girls! Well Lucy is my girl she is on the left and Annie she is my fiances bird she hates me. They are total opposites Lucy is fun and playful she lives to be with me and Annie is grouchy and would rather be left alone. They are very fun birds! :)

I have an African grey and a Goffins Cockatoo.  My grey can be very moody at times and used to be a mans birds but now it seems I am the only one that can handle him with out any problems.  My cockatoo does the stuff that your  Lucy does in the pics.  lol  Only she doesn't try to help herself to my cereal , she'd rather have my coffee!

Aww! :) Yeah I know Greys are known to be moody and prefer one gender or another. My df's Grey hates me! Lol but we have noticed a huge mood difference with the diet change, she seems to be more friendly. Luckily Lucy loves everyone! :) So glad to see another birdie mama in here!

I have an Timneah Gray. His name is Harley. He is 11 years old. He hates me, BUT I am the feeder and cage cleaner. And he mimmics my voice. I feel bad, we don't let him out much anymore, he's too hard to get back in the cage. We had a Congo, but had to get rid of him. He was TOO loud. Neighbors complained. But he went to a good home! I miss him looking at yours. His name was Merlin.

Annie hates me too! But we have been working with Dave and Chet Wolmack at birdtricks.com and their training videos have helped us out so much! I can now pet Annie on the top of her head and she doesn't get angry. :) You might want to check them out. You can also look at their training videos on YouTube at birdtricks! They are awesome people! :)
