So here is the unwanted house guest. He is quite possibly going to become a permanent fixture on my living room floor.(No one has claimed him yet and my cat is getting along with him, so we are thinking about keeping him if no one comes forward.) The question is what to name him. My cat's name is Jack.

I suggest Joe or Jimmy.
When you have a special needs child, it is like floating in the ocean. You will have highs when you ride the top of the wave and move forward and lows when the wave crashes over you and sucks you back. As you are riding a low wave of sadness, frustration & disappointment, just keep in mind the next wave will take you back up and move you forward once more.

How about Jasper?

I know its been a while since you posted this and the cat has a name by now I'm surebut we had a cat that looked kinda like yours same color anyway. Her name was Breezy, and fit her very well. Heres a picture
I would name him Hobo if he were mine...being that he he was a stray and possibly homeless. :)
Well, he is staying. And we decided to call him Colby. I really appreciate the input. if I had seen Hobo earlier I probably would have given it my support. I agreed to Colby because it is more human soundning than Cheddar and my DH wanted to give him a cheese name. Here is Colby and Jack together:

Looks like a Colby but could be a Cody too....have fun with it...when we adopted our first female dog we let the kids pick out the name. The youngest won as she was only 2. We weren't sure exactly what she said but it came out Scally and that's what stuck. The dog actually answered to it...lol. go figure.
