Those safety seal lids are a pain in the hiney.

Don't leave them to soak.  They get kind of peely.  I had my lids in the sink (who puts a yogurt-y lid in the collection jar?  who?) to wash them and got busy folding some laundry.  those seal thingies don't tolerate the wet very well.  quickly rinse and dry those suckers.  i'm sure they'll be OK, they weren't all flaky or anything, but i did get several that had been creased, and the pink flaked off along the crease lines.
