The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light The Night Walk is a two to three mile non-competitive evening walk.  The evening celebrates and commemorates those lives touched by cancer.  Prior to the walk, teams and individual walkers enjoy live entertainment, food, kids activities, and more.

This year’s Chicago Light The Night Walk will take place on Saturday, September 8th, 2007 in Grant Park at the Upper Hutchinson Field, located at the corner of  S. Columbus Dr. and Balbo Ave. Click here to register as an individual or as part of a team.  However you choose to participate, Light The Night will be an experience you will not forget.  If you have any questions, please contact Jessica Hatcher at 312.568.7729 or jessica.hatcher@lls.org.

Light The Night is an annual Society event to raise funds for cures. It’s the nation’s night to pay tribute and bring hope to thousands of patients and their families.

Every five minutes, someone in this country is diagnosed with blood cancer: Every ten minutes, someone loses the fight.

Leukemia causes more deaths than any other cancer among children.

Lymphomas are the most common blood cancers.

The myeloma survival rate is only 32 percent.
