We are moving there mid september and we are pretty excited about it!
Is there anything you can tell us about it?...
I have 3 kids and my 10 year old is really hoping there are kids his age close by.
I just moved into a base house, do you know which area your staying in? And how many rooms? So far i find i enjoy living where im at with three bedrooms though we definatly dont need them since its just me ande hubby. We wanted two but hey we are not going to look a gift horse in the mouth ^_^.
Im on Eldorado street. hubby is E-1 going on E-2 this next month. But i rather love how our house is and even where its at. To me i love nature and so its fun to look out our bedroom window and see a Osprey landing down and eating a spider or even just looking and seeing a armidillo just waddling around.
I loved living in our house on base. Just be careful about having you air on during the summer and heat on during the winter to long. The moisture can get pretty bad in the old houses on base and mold starts to grow. We had to move due to mold getting to bad where we lived. Water would build up around our house to after raining. My daughter has health problems and all maintence done was came out to our house and paint over the mold. I tried killing it with bleach but nothing helped it just starting getting worse so we moved. Loved the house but Fl weather, and it being so humid causes a lot of mold. We werent the only people with the problem.

Well I have heard that the new chief housings are nice. But the so called new houses that everybody else lives in all they have done is put wood flooring on the concrete and carpet in the room. Which I was just at my old neighbors house the other day and met the new people who moved into our old house and they said there is still mold on the roof. And that their son was in his room, my daughters old room, and he pulled up the carpet and there is mold under the carpet where the floors have sweat. They havent been there but maybe 2mths and are now moving again bc they also have children and dont want them around the mold.
