Hi, everyone. I joined this group recently and wanted to tell everyone about myself. First, I am so grateful to have found you all, and a place to share my ideals with other women like me. Sometimes, people act like they get you, but they really dont understand what lifes all about. And Im glad to have a place to ask stuff. So many people in the world today are very self assuming and know it alls and Im looking for women who I can learn from, and, hopefully, can learn from me. My name is Dawn, I live in Ct. I have always been very old fashioned , I just learned how to use the computer a year and a half ago. I hate computers, but have found them to be very helpful in my lifestyle. My hubby owns a treeservice, and we knew even before we had our son that i would stay home. I never had a "job" . Im 31 and spent my entire life caring for my sick mom. I left school at 14 to do so. I spent the next 13years very isolated and though it was hard, I found it to be a blessing because in that time I grew close to God, nature, and became an expert at hand embroidery. I love hand needlework, and spend many hours a day doing it. I feel its my gift from God. When I was 27, I was blessed to meet my hubby. We married 7 monthes later and I was pregnant a month after our wedding. Hes pretty much the only man ive ever dated. Hes 15 years older than me, which brings issues, but  I really look up to him. Our son is 15 monthes old. I love to garden, The other day I planted 92 cloves of garlic!! We have 1 rooster, 3 hens, and 3 goats. Our male goat is a toggenburg and the two females are obberhausly. I think the girls are pregnant. My dad always had goats and stuff when I was a kid, and I remember him making goat cheese over an open fire outside , the old fashioned way,(hes from sicily) I hate how goat raising has recently become a fad and a fashion statement, like horses. I dont raise "show goats" and dont need expensive stuff for them. They are happy and are part of our survival. You shouldnt have to put more money into an animal then what your getting out of them. Oh, also, I make almost all my own clothes and love to cook and bake. Im really looking forward to meeting you all, and I have so much to ask for advice!!!

Very nice to meet you and have you in the group!  I sure hope since it is almost spring ( well in s.Miss. it will be next month -HA HA) that we can be more active in this group-me included!!  We certainly have so much to share and help one another with.  It would be a shame to to use this resource!!
