My name is Shelly and I am 41 years old.  I have 5 children (yes they are all mine).  I'm pretty active and love playing sports, dancing ,and hanging out with my family.  I guess the reason I joined this group is because I am having hormonal fluctuations, mostly with constant palpitations, heavy and then light periods from month to month, my eyes are constantly tearing up, and a few other things I can't think of right now.  I have been to the doctor several times for the palpitations and they have done EVERYTHING,  and nothing is wrong with my heart.  I know it's hormonal, but they won't do the hormone level test for me saying it's not accurate.   They wanted to put me on a heart medicine (that I'd have to take the rest of my life) or an antidepressant.    They didn't say anything about HRTs.  I declined both because deep inside me I know that it's caused by hormones.  I went as far as to look up foods that have natural estrogen in them and began eating those more often.  Do any of you experience the heart palpitations?  It's been going on for over 3 months now.  Sometimes I feel a flush of blood rising into my head.   I'd love any advice you have for me.   Thanks in advance for your support!!!

I used to get heart palpitations before I started on my progesterone cream.  Excess estrogen can cause some of those symptoms.  Balancing your estrogen out with some additional progesterone may help.  You can get a good progesterone cream at health food stores and online.  Welcome to the group.  Have you had an opportunity to go through some of the articles here?  They may have some insight for you.  Have a wonderfully blessed day!
