I had a hysterectomy this last January due to cysts, pollups, endometriosis, and many other things happening with my uterus.  I talked with my doctor before the surgery extensively about how breast cancer has run in my family for many generations and about hormone therapy. As soon as I came out of surgery in recovery they put two hormone therapy patches on me. I have been using the patches ever since.
I have still been experienceing quite a bit of pain still in the abdomen area as well as headaches, no energy and of course hot flashes and weight gain and so I am going to see a hormone therapist specialist who specializes in natural hormone therapy, can anyone tell me what to expect?
I am feeling nervous that nothing can be done and that I am just stuck where I am for the rest of my life. I just turned 30 and I have three small kids, so looking forward to this for the rest of my life sounds very discouraging.
Does anyone have any testimonies about how natural hormone therapy has helped them?
Thanks so much,
Hollie

I have never been to a hormone therapist specialist, but I do use natural hormone therapy.  I had a hysterectomy 6 years ago, but kept my ovaries.  They shut down immediately and I was thrown into surgical menopause.  I have been using natural progesterone cream for over 4 years.  I do know that I am back to what I was before my surgery.  The two years between the surgery and starting the cream were a nightmare.  Good luck with your appt.  I wish I had more help for you.  I do strongly believe in natural progesterone cream, but stay away from anything with added estrogens, natural or  not.
