Does anyone have a ferret that isn't de-scented? If so, how bad is the smell compared to a de-scented ferret?

A ferret that isn't descented will spray like a skunk. The odor isn't as noxious and it dissipates relatively quickly but it will definitely clear a room LOL. A tame ferret will usually never spray unless it is extremely threatened, as in being cornered by an aggressive dog etc. Descenting does not remove the naturally musky odor of a ferret but it will remove its ability to spray.
The natural odor of ferrets can be drastically reduced by a proper diet (high protein/fat, low carb) and frequent cage cleaning.
