I've been self teaching for about 6 months now.  Here are a few of the cakes that I've done.

Mickey Mouse clubhouse cake for my DD's 3ds birthday.  My very first cake.

Farm Cake for my twins 1st birthday.

Mario cake for a friend's son's birthday.  Fondant mario with a modeling chocolate castle.
