Looking for a new anime to watch, any suggestions?

I really loved Rurouni  Kenshin and Basilisk..so I'd love to watch another one like it. Does anyone have some they could suggest?

While none of the aforementioned can accurately be described as "new"; if you haven't seen it, then it's new to you. I like

Texhnolyze, SpeedGrapher, Hikaru no Go, Hell Girl, and the wonderfully suspenseful and intricately woven masterpiece based on the award-winning graphic novels by Naoki Urasawa called Monster.

Hell Girl has been and is again currently being broadcast on IFC, and you can watch Monster on the SyFy channel, though its content has been edited and contains commercials. Still, it is worth watching, but if you haven't read the books and don't begin with the first episode, there is very little chance you will be able to follow the story. All of the above are available on dvd.
