Kick off your child's successful school career at the 6th Annual Kickoff to Kindergarten at Marbles Kids Museum! This free event helps kindergartners and their families with the transition into school, a very memorable milestone. They will go through their first lunch line, board the Wake County Public Library Bookmobile, get their very own library card and much more!
Please note: The museum will close at 3:00pm on Sunday, August 16 for Kickoff to Kindergarten.
Street closure: Hargett Street will be closed between Blount and Person from 3:30-6:30pm.
Activities
- Special appearance by SuperWHY and Read-a-Roo
- Kids music that rocks featuring Big Bang Boom
- Board a real school bus
- Practice going through the lunch line
- Board the Bookmobile and apply for a library card
- Talk with kindergarten teachers
- Take a P.E. class
- Explore the museum
- Participate in hands-on activities
- Get a free backpack for your kindergartner (while supplies last)
