When should teething start?

My boys are 10 months and only one baby shows signs of a tooth coming out. People I meet are in shock that both my babies don't have teeth already. Should I worry?

I wouldn't worry.  Some babies are actually born with teeth (rare, but it happens) and some don't get them til after the first year.  Mine started teething around 4 months, but didn't get any actual teeth until 8 or 9 months.  Once they started though, they didn't really stop.  It seems like one or both of them are always getting a tooth!
