Does that mean soldiers don't have to work? I'm just trying to figure this out because my husband still isn't home, I don't know when he will be. So I just want to know if he'll be working tomorrow.
They didn't specify. My hubby has been out in the field and was supposed to return today, but he called me last night and told me that I guess he's part of an emergency group that may have to work all weekend due to this incident. Really??? The dude has been caught. I guess they're afraid that there will be a part 2. Understandable... It's usually like this. Something horrible happens, and they work extra hard following the incident to prevent it from happening again then when we least expect it, something else... Everything can't be prevented :(
I'm sure if that was an option they would but because of all the poepl taht live on post they cant. If they close post then they cant get off and if someone was out of town they come back and they live on post they wouldnt be able to get to their houses.
This is all a confusing time for everyone but I am sure they are doing everything in their power today to keep everyone safe. They have armed soldier protecting schools so kids are safe!

Gee, my husband had to be to work at 7:30 this morning....Why didn't they just fricken close down post?! That would be the smart thing to do. Tell all the soldiers to stay home and close down post if they're so worried about a "part 2".
