Any one know of any good summer camps around here? I looked into some overnight ones around texas and almost $h!# myself at the prices. 1 week was $1500 per kid! yeah, I cant afford that. Plus, all the scholarship programs are closed. :( so now I am searching for local day camps that offer alot. My kids like swimming and the woods, so all the normal camps stuff like that. I am sure if they got the chance to ride a horse they would be excited. They also like traveling, so maybe camps that do field trips to different places. Any ideas? if they go to day camp I want them to go for a few weeks and don't want to spend too much on it, but most important is I want them to have fun!
I just looked it up and they wont know where it is till march. There might not be one around here this year. Also, priority is given to deployed or will be deployed between September 2011 and December 2012. My husband came home from deployment in June 2010 so we would have slim pickings. My husband is in Korea, so not deployed, although he might as well be since we can only talk to him 1x a week if we are lucky. Thanks SusanD for the info though. I will keep it in mind and put them on a waiting list in case we don't find something else. Hopefully we can find something.
