So, I want to draw a picture of a tree shadow on my living room wall BUT how do you do that ? I tried it in my daughters room freehand and it's okay but nothing like I wanted it to turn out. I heard you can get a projector and transfer it to the wall for the outline then paint it. Where can you get one of these, they have to be really expensive and I don't like paying that kind of money for something I am going to only use a couple of times. Where could you rent one ? or can you ? Has anyone done this before ? Someone help me out, I can't stand this anymore. It's been on my mind for months now.

Hi,

We did this in our son's room, we had him draw a chicago bulls emblem and we took the overhead projector and traced it on the wall and then we painted it. my hubby worked at a rec center and we borrowed it from them, so not sure if you have a rec center that might let you do the same or not, you can probably find one online or ask a librarian at a library and see maybe they can help you. ope this help.

Check your local elementary school or an older church and see if they'll let you borrow one or transfer your image to a large template there (if they don't want you to take their projector) That's my advice. otherwise you could make it larger with a copy machine then use a grid system to enlarge it the rest of the way and put it on the wall. As an artist my advice is that you should remember to look at the lines and shapes and don't try to paint a tree that way it will come out better. Good luck!
