Getting induced in the morning and very nervous....

I am getting induced in the morning and I am very nervous. I had my first set of twins naturally without an epidural and I hoping to do the same with this set of twins as well. The main thing that I am worrried about is the doctor having to break my bag of water I have heard that it is very painful. I am also paranoid about what if something goes wrong and I have to get a c-section. I am terrified to get a c-section. Did anyone else have to get their water broken and was it really painful?

I had to be induced with my dd because of really high blood pressure. He broke my water at 830 a.m(didn't hurt at all, didn't even feel it, except for the gush lol) and I had her at 530 p.m with hard contractions only towards the end(when I was dilated 9 cm) For me it was mostly a really easy labor until the end. I didn't have hard labor the whole time. Good Luck and congrats!

I just had my water broken and since I didn't have drugs this time I could feel it. It did hurt, but not a big deal in the scheme of things. I think mine only hurt because there was some issue as to he was having trouble breaking it. After that my contractions were fine for a few minutes and then suddenly I was slammed when I rapidly transitioned from  8-10 centimeters. Like the pp mentioned that was the hard part, the end.

Really though it's over quick and it's just more uncomfortable and the contractions distract you anyway.

Good luck with everything !!! I hope things go well for you.

Even with no drugs at all when my daughter was born I didn't even notice when they broke my water. She was crowning when they broke my water, so maybe I was just distracted by other pain, but I didn't think that part hurt.

I am getting induced on Thursday so I know your concerns. I have never been induced and was really hoping to have a natural child birth. I am terrified!!! I am also afraid of having a c-section.

But, I have been trying to mentally prepare myself for everything.... We can not control what happens, All we can do is stay calm and be strong for our baby inside of us that needs us! I have been saying the serenity prayer to myself when I start getting really scared! I know it sounds silly but it has actually been kinda calming me down.

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change, The courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

We are going to be fine! It will all be over soon!

I had to have my water broke for 2 of my 3 deliveries. I had no drugs for them and to be honest I didnt feel a thing other then the gush of water.

I had to get induced since I had been in preterm labor for about two months so my Dr decided to induce me.... We got there at 530 that morning and she broke my water about 8 am It hurt but nothing compared to contractions in my point of view but had her that afternoon. I hope all goes well and Goodluck!!
