I have went to my doctor appointment and sonogram appointment at the hospital.It was all good news,and I am finally relieve to know when they are wanting me to be having her.I will be having my baby on july 15th,I don't know if its c-section or induction until july 14th,which that will be my last doctor appointment. From the sonogram appointment my child was announce as 9 lb 12 oz,and should be about 10 lb by the time of my schedule time on JUly 15th.I have a big feeling that I am going to have a planned C-section on July 15th some time in the evening. Can anyone tell what to expect from a c-section when its planned?I'm not really scared or nervous about it,but anxious than ever to see my new baby. (first pregnancy)

my older sis had an induction and c-section and said that sometimes the baby isn't ready to be born so if your cervix is not ripe (fluffy and soft as oppose to long and firm), the induction wouldn't work. her baby was also big at over 9 lbs but since her induction didn't work and she was overdue, she and her doc opted for a c-section. she said it was fine. if you're allergic to nickel, ask your doc if the staples have nickel in them. just as in any other surgery, you can't eat anything beforehand. i also remember her saying that she had the staples removed before she left the hospital and it really does look like a big staple remover to get them off. you can also opt for stitches. they just may take a bit longer than the staples. she still bled lochia even though she had a c-section. you can also buy extra c-section bandages at cvs to change the dressings. good luck!
