I recently ordered prints from Shutterfly that were supposed to be 4X6 inches. When I received them, I was wondering what I did wrong because there were some people or pieces of photos that were missing. So then I got out my ruler and measured the photos. They were not 4X6's. They were just a tad under the 4 inch but they were like a 5 3/4 inch wide. Has anyone else had a problem with there pictures. I'm trying to figure out if this was just an accident or do they cut the photos this short all the time. I was happy with the color and clarity.

  • i believe you must have clicked the box that said "print in true digital" or something like that. they come smaller than 4x6, but are suppose to keep your pictures how they are instead of cropping things out. if they are really bad, i would get a hold of shutterfly customer service. they almost always give you a credit for the prints that were bad and for free shipping as well.

I don't recall seeing a box that said (pint in true digital). I guess that i need to start paying closer attention when I order. Thank you very much for the info. I really appreciate it.

  • I just want to reiterate what the previous poster said...they are great about giving credit when things are bad.

  • Just as the PP's said, it sounds like they're "true digital" and I hear Shutterfly is excellent on giving credit, I've never personally had to use it ~ fortunately. Good luck.

  • i agree with the other replies.  shutterfly is great about refunds or credits. just explain what happened and they should give you a refund or a credit for the prints.

  • I have been ordering from them for some time now and have never had an issue with any pics not coming right. I did measure the ones I just got last week to see what size they are and it was 4" x almost 6" it was literally 1 centimeter off from the 6". I would call them and see what they can do for you. Do you check your pics with the crop/red eye/ border edit before you order them?
