Has anyone else tried N-met for their ASD child?
My son is 7 1/2, was diagnosed less than a year ago as ASD. He is considered high functioning, but has had major behavior issues since he was about 3 (LONG story on the wait for diagnosis/treatment).
He has been on EVERY available med to try and curb his aggression/hyperactivity (he is also ADHD, SPD and has speech delays also). We are on the third trial of Abilify, which works well for a while, then slowly loses effectiveness. He is just highly reactive (especially to "NO") and hyperactive which leads to tantrums/meltdowns.
I found N-met on a facebook ad, discussed it with his doctor who agreed it was safe and worth a try. I just wanted to see if there were any other parents who have tried it (it's basically a vitamin supplement, invented by a doctor for is Autistic son).
So if anyone has tried it, or know someone who has, I would love to hear what you think.
