My daughter babysits for a family that just had their child diagnoised with Autism, he is 3 and just the sweetest little thing, any suggestions on things she can do with him to help him communicate with her? He gets iritated with her if she doesn't understand when he talks to her.

We use pictures with our daughter it helps to know what she is asking for. There is also the leading and pointing method. Have your daughter ask him to show her what hewants. He will most likely take her hand and pull her to what he wants
Then tell him to point to what he wants. These r two of the best methods we have found to comminicate with out daughter. Just want to say i think its awesome your daughtet continues to babysit for him. Most people run when they hear that. I know we lost babysitters after our daughter was diagnosed. It means a lot to have someone stick around
