Hi my name is Nicole and I have 5 kids my third child Gavin has autism, and right now I am looking for a good hand held game device that would interest him, he will be 6 years old on July 3rd, this will be a birthday present. My oldest daughter Serena also has suspected asbergers, but is alot more high funcioning then Gavin is.

Welcome to the group , What is very helpful to so many children that have autism are the I pads ' they have learning games you can buy that help to teach them a lot of different skills they need or if your child is not able to verbalize there emotions they have those for the i pads too . '  .. Many parents have found great improvment in there children after they began using one .. Good luck .. I am just now thinking of getting one for my son but am not to sure he will use it .. There a bit expensive yet well worth the cost ..
