We are adopting a sibling group of 4, yes 4 and no we are not crazy! LOL. In addition to our 18 month old son we've already adopted we will have ages 4 months,15 months,2 years,4 years. They are all very very sweet and very well behaved except for the 15 month old who is a terror.

Our 15 month old poses a unique problem which I believe may be autism. I need some advice. He screams, like you are killing him,  (not cries )at EVERYTHING. You cant look at him, talk to him, hug him, pick him up and if you are holding him you cant put him down. You cant turn him to the left or right, you cant change his clothes or his diaper. He screams all day everyday and kicks and hits.

He doesn't play with the other children & he wont play with toys, He will not make eye contact for more than a brief second. He does not show affection and just has a horrible angry look to his little face.  The other children are so affectionate and sweet. Foster Mom has always had all 4 so she knows how they were, and none are like 15 month old. She says that he is going to be our "problem". It kills me thinking of our new son as such. I just want to help him.

We raised our 18 month old since he was 7 months and he is nothing like this. Please tell me what can I do? Do I go to our normal doctor? What questions do I ask? What can they do for him? ANY info would be wonderful and thanks for listening to me!!

I would take him to the pediatrician and get a referral to a developmental behaviorist specialist.  This sounds EXACTLY like my son who is severe PDD.  The sooner you get intervention the better.  I would not put this off.  Go with your gut feeling on this.  God Bless, Helen
