I used to. I used to dream he would say I love you. It would break my heart to wake up and him still be non-verbal.
My dream came true February 2006. He was 4 years old and with the help of a PECS system he was talking. One day he walked up to me hugged my legs and said I love you mommy. I started crying. Tears of joy! I pray that day comes for you too.
I haven't had that one....but I have had a few backwards ones......where Robby was NT and the rest of us (by rest of us I mean everyone in everyday life) was not....that was a wierd one....dreaming that I was autistic...hubby, 5 out of the 6 kids...the guy at the gas station....way odd.....

omg....yes i have had dreamed that my son was talking like a typical child..and so has my motherinlaw....for me its such a good feeling i must say...we can only hope and pray that they are premonition dreams....and i must say i have had many of those...so lets all hope and pray together...
Yes, I have several times about my Grandson Lane. Just yesterday, he was visiting after hubby was home from work. I said to my hubby. My Purpose & Goal in life is to live long enough to know that Lane will be able to make it on his own as an Adult if something should happen to his Mom & Dad. Hubby replied a little emotional & said. I want Lane to run up to me like he did this eve when I drove up from work, only I want him to say "Hi Pa Pa, how was your day, after you change your clothes, would you please take me riding on the 4-wheeler". Now he does acknowledge very happily when PaPa does come home from work, but his words are "PaPa, take Lane riding on 4-wheeler" He has started using "Take Me" instead of talking in 3rd person. Slowly but surely improving everyday!

Yes!!! OMG! I thought I was crazy for dreaming this, but his little voice sounds so sweet!! It is usually random things that he will just spat off and not a real conversation, but yes!!
That is so weird you asked that I am such a dreamer , I have never dreamt that my Kyle could talk ... He is a lot like your son he has words and can use a few sentences but as far as telling me how he is feeling my child can not ..... Kyle never said a word until he was 7 then he started saying mom and nana . I will never forget him saying that for the first time .. But how cool is that hearing his voice in your sleep ...... I truly think dreams do come true we just have to keep believing ..My son even told me his stomach hurt the other day for the very first time ever . He is going to be 18 .. God Bless all of us as wanting the same thing .

I think every parent has that dream in some form. My ds is 6 and has never said "mommy" but he calls his sis by her name all the time. I long for the day he says "mommy". I know he will someday- I think we have to believe-It's what keep us going-the hope
When my older brother passed away I had a dream that he and my son were sitting in my living room having a conversation. My son says hundreds of words, but no full sentences, maybe two word sentences like a 2 or 3 year old so I know his voice. They were having a full conversation back and forth . In the dream I walk into the living room baffled about who was talking in there and it was the two of them sitting there chatting, that was 7 years ago. I never forgot that dream. I walk in the room they both look up at me and then they both went silent and that is all I remember about it.

OH WOW! This gave me chills! I'm so sorry you lost your Brother, but so glad you were able to hear your Son speak a full conversation, even if it was a dream. I've lost a Brother & a Sister and have had lots of dreams of them but never one like that.
