c-sections

How many can I have? I want more kids but i have had 4 c-sections. My doc says I heal nicely and she has never said no more babies. so what do you think? Have any of you had more then 4 c-sections. If so how was it?

HI,   I've had 5 c-sections.  After my fourth, my doc said he never wanted to see my insides again.  Well I became pregnant once more and he was concerned about all the scar tissue I had developed over the previous c-sections, so he ended up referring me to a high risk specialist to handle the surgery.  But all ended up just fine.  The specialist said the c-section was  very difficult because I had so much scar tissue and my uterous had a small rupture where it had been cut for previous c-sections but he was able to "patch me up almost good as new."  His words exactly :)  I would think if your doc said you were a good healer you may be okay for 1 more, however you should defintely discuss it with the doc first.  Good Luck!

My sis in law had five, her OB's wife had seven. I think it really just depends on the person and the doctor.

I just had my first section-honestly, I am not sure how anyone could do it that many times...you must be very devoted to your family! GL!!!

I think its a case of what kind of incision was made and how well you healed. Like you said, you doctor probably would have told you if you couldn't do it again. Hey, look at Rose Kennedy! She had 9 children via c-section before they were all that safe!! :)
