I love vampire, witch, werewolves, etc. books. Here are some of my favorite authors:
Anne Rice
Kelly Armstrong not all about vampires but great female characters that are all supernatural
Jim Butcher
Jeanne Stein- just read the 1st one of these and loved it
Charlaine Harris
Also a great place to start might be a book a short stories I just read called Many Bloody Returns It has all of the above authors in it. All the stories have the common theme of vampires and birthdays. I loved it and it introduced me to some new authors.
Hope that helps.

When I was a teen I read this series Called "the last vampire" I really liked them!!!! I cant remeber who the author was tho!
I loved this series when I was younger too.. Chrisopher Pike wrote them.. They are in a new book called thirst which has several of those books in 1. Also another good series is the House of Night by Pc cast and Kristen cast. I also am a fan of Stephanie Meyer. I couldnt put twilight down!
