Since I've read all the Marry Higgens Clark books I had to turn to another author. I'm currently reading John Grisham's The Last Juror. It's a murder mystery and if you like that you will like his books.

I am reading The Mummy Case by Elizabeth Peters. It is the 3rd in her mystery series with Amelia Peabody as the main character. I have listened to the 1st two on my mp3 player so this is the 1st one I have actually read but I really like them.

The last book I picked up was "Eldest" By Christopher Paolini. I haven't touched it since before I had my daughter, though, because I promised myself I would finish writing the novel I've been working on for a year or two now before I get into another book. As much as I love reading, I figured that was a good insentive to finish my book . Wish me luck. LOL.

Is she easy to read? I'm looking for a new author just don't know who to read. There are too many authors out there that i just don't understand.
Anyways, thanks for your input.

Quoting ellianasmommy:The main character is a women who is an Egyptologist. They are murder mysterious. So far I have only really listen to them on my IPOD but they are easy to listen for sure.Quoting Tigerflounder:

Here is the website for all the books in the series. It also tells a little about the series.
Another easy murder mystery type is by Rita Mae Brown.

Reading Priestess of Avalon from Marion Zimmer Bradley... it was one of the last books she started to write before she passed away and was finished by Diana L Paxson.
The series are very colorful and wonderful stories of some actual historical reproduction.

I have read a lot of her work and really liked it! A woman with a brain who isn't afraid to go about business! (and raise her kids with out a melt down!)

Right now I'm reading Fly By Night by Francis Harding.
After reading the Harry Potter books I've decided to go and discorver what other "kids" books are out there that might be just as good.
Sometimes they are a lot better than what any adult has out there! I do this too. Katie MacAlister writes great adult series that make you laugh till you run for the loo. She adds good romance and does some pointed giggles at other authors that laugh right back! If you like Romance that makes your engines roar without being smutty.... check out Christine Feehan's series of paranormal romance! Not Buffy-ish but! very adult and not over the top!

Christopher Paolini writes fantasy... if you like Harry Potter, you'll most likely enjoy Eragon and Eldest -- the first two books in the Inheritance Trilogy. Christopher Paolini is actually only in his early 20's I believe. I was impressed when I ehard how old (or young) he was.
I've been working more on getting my ideas in order. I've actually started writing my book twice and decided I wanted to change quite a bit so I rewrote -- each time using the same concept, but a bit different. It's been a struggle.. especially after all this time.. but I'm hoping that it will all come together -- and well since it's taken me this long. Thank for the well wishes.
