Question: What is a proper diet for a child with digeorge that also is a chd child?
I am struggling with this everyday. even though i have educated myself as to proper nutrition I need help from other moms who share in the same situation as i am in. Please any helpful diet plans are much appreciated.
currently my son is on all organic foods but i am in the process of switching him to table food and the doctors really are no help with specifics on what is a good diet plan. please help me?

Many kids with Digeorge are "failure to thrive" for a time during infancy. I don't know if this applies to your son or not, but it was the case for my daughter. For her, she has been on a "normal" diet, with the exception that we have always tried to get as many calories in her as possible. You might ask your pediatrician, cardiologist or any other specialists that you see if they can refer you to a dietician or nutritionist that specializes in pediactrics.
In my daughter's case, she sees a GI specialist because of the reflux and the failure to thrive. He had a nutritionist that worked with his patients and my visit with her was very helpful. She gave me guidance for boosting the calories in her milk, among other things. My daughter is 3 now and eats basically the normal toddler diet, with as much extra nutrition as I can get in her. She is still (an probably will always be) small, but she is healthy.
Good luck
