Parenting in Hollywood - Really Mr. Sheen?

What kind of life must Mr. Sheen's children have?  I mean talk about chaos!  I hate to keep picking on Hollywood here, but wow these are the people we are so fascinated by, the ones that are in the news every day - people's IDOLS?!?!?!?!?!

I know there are some great celebrity parents out there doing the right things with their children too.  I expect to see great children coming from the likes of Hugh Jackman and Natalie Portman etc.

How do you think these stars would impart manners to their children?  How do you manage those crazy issues that we don't deal with on a day to day basis?  I mean how do you control the paparazzi and not let it go to your child's head that they are better than everyone else?  It must be quite the juggling act don't you think?

After the past week's craziness, I am now convinced that Charlie Sheen is bipolar. I feel sorry for his wife and ex-wife, his children, and all his family. They have problems to deal with that are so much bigger than the press and the American obsession with celebrity. As for other celebrities, I really, really feel for their kids. It must be so scary to have people chasing after you and your parents all the time. I remember public criticism when Tom Cruise's daughter was drinking from a bottle at age 4. My thought was that if we were constantly pursued by the press and my child wanted the soothing of a bottle, it would be cruel under the circumstances to deny her that sort of soothing. That was the only time in my memory I've felt sympathy for Tom Cruise, so it was notable to me.

I actually remember that too!  I had the same thought, there was another one where (and forgive me but I can't recall the celebrity or their child) who was chastised for having a pacifier and I couldn't help but think about that as well.  I can't imagine those light bulbs popping in my face 24/7 I want to say it was Gwen Stefani or someone like that who gets riddled with press.  At any rate, I think these kids almost have to have their own set of rules or hand book for living - I couldn't even begin to decipher it for them though.  Yikes.

All I can say is that I would sure as hell hate to be Charlie Sheen's kids....or wife or anything!

I didn't realize that he has FIVE kids, he has a 26 year old daughter.  Now the younger four are probably unaware of the media circus but this poor girl must be taking crap like nobodies business.  I would be changing my name!  Seriously at 26 she has to be beyond mortified....
