Well it seems as though summer is fastly upon us and before we know it the kiddos will be dying of bordem and driving us a lil nuts in the process!!lol.. We will be planning some group outings to the zoo and such soon.. If you have any ideas of times and locations let me know. I think a picnic in the zoo would be fun! We could each bring our own cooler and sack lunch and have time to mingle and get to know each other better. Let me know what you think. ~my4kidz (Jen)

That sounds like a great idea.  My son loves the zoo.  Let me know if I can help with anything.

The zoo is a great idea.  I recently purchased a zoo pass so my son (1 year old) and I can go just about anytime.  I do prefer to go after his morning nap, otherwise he can be a handful - so anytime after 10:00 am is great.  How often do mom's get together?  I haven't went on outings with other mom's in OKC.  I think it is a great idea - being that I stay at home - i miss the "adult" conversations.  Very different role I'm in now as "mommy" instead of executive management.

I'm not sure who all knows about this place but it is great!

Tuttle Tiger Safari, in Tuttle OK is a non-profit organization that has beautiful rescued animals including several large cats, some which are the most rare in the world. They even have a Liger! They have bears, birds, monkeys... it's just awesome. The majority of their animals are named after Disney characters. The money goes to the keeping and feeding of the animals, all workers are volunteers. It's $10/person to enter & feed the tiger that they call Rahja & to feed one of the bears. Regular prices are $7/adults & $5/children. Here is their website.

Not usre how old your kids are, but mine are 5 and 7 and we got passess for Frontier City and Whitewater Bay. It's 65 bucks a person, but it's for both parks. We got a parking pass as well, and you can bring your own lunch if you like. We estimate it will only take a little over 3 visits to have paid paid them, and the kids love it. Last year we got a pass for the zoo, it was 85 and was good for I think 3 adults and 5 kids, We went 8 times. Both are very much worth the money.

I would love to get together to meet everyone.  We moved here from MI and I am in need of making some friends.  We live in Edmond.  There is a GREAT park off of Kelly and 2nd.  I am always up for free things.

Hello everyone. I am new to this group. The zoo get together sounds great. Has anyone been since they re did it? THe childrens zoo is so nice. there is a small area of spraying water. Next to that there is a small waterfall and a mini type river (flowing water and some rocks). I took my 3 year old about 2 weeks ago and we didn't even get to the animals she just played in the childrens zoo. There are small caves, slide, petting zoo etc...Also if you are military and have an ID you pay half price.
