If you have young children on your holiday guest list, be sure to create a safe environment for the festivities.
Parents will appreciate the effort. In fact, this could be the thought that really counts.
Here are a few simple items to consider:
- Outlet covers
- Cabinet and drawer locks
- Doorknob covers
- Bumpers for sharp corners
- Child safety gates for stairs and other "no access" areas
Childproofing Tip: Remember to inhibit access to items such as knives, scissors, cleaning products, vitamins and medication, pens or any potential choking hazards for children under three.
A good way to gauge if something is a choking hazard is if it fits inside a toilet paper tube.
Also be sure to temporarily move any breakable objects out of reach of little ones.
