There's so much pressure to be the perfect hostess when you have family or friends staying with you.  Use our checklist as a guide for your visitors to think that their stay with you was better than any B&B any day.

  • Eggnog
  • Everyday drinks (punch, juice, bottled water, etc.)
  • Snacks (chips, fresh fruit, cookies, holiday candy, etc.)
  • Breakfast cereals and milk
  • Coffee and decaf

I always try to have special touches...like 'favorites' be it coffee or special creamer, make special 'family recipe' dishes.

We always set up a basket of things they may have forgotten in the bathroom, such as new toothbrushes, a few little tubes of toothpastes (usually samples I've gotten throughout the year), razors, dental floss, etc... That way they don't have to feel uncomfortable asking for something.
