Do you wait to get that sought after kids toy (ie zhu-zhu pets) or do you pay too much for it?

Zhu Zhu pets.  My son has all of them.  Got them in September, before they were so "hot".  Guess what?  He played with them for two days & they are sitting in his closet.  Yes, they are cute, but the people who are selling & buying them on ebay & amazon for outrageous amounts of money are just crazy i.m.o.  After Christmas they'll be practically giving them away, so why can't Santa just give an i.o.u. instead?

I'm with you on this one. There should be a law against the bidding war....its as bad if not worse as scalping big event tickets. The toy industry itself does a great PR in brainwashing kids into whats hot or whats not. It's a shame

I was reading some reviews of them and enough parents posted about them being broken before the weekend was over...  I see there are already imitation pets at lower prices but those reviews say they are just as much fun.

As long as shoppers respond the way they do there will be sellers willing to take advantage.

I would like to find these for my daughter for Christmas but there is no way I would pay what they are asking for them on Amazon. I will just wait and see if I can find them later at Walmart or Target.

They would make a great Valentines day gift!!!!  You won't have any problems finding them then.  They'll probably be giving them aways then!!!!  I bought 8 of them when I found them & sent them to my friends on cafemom who's kids wanted them too & for gifts for other kids.  I would never dream of selling them on ebay.  That is cuel.
