I know the media is saying we are on the other side of the recession....hmmmm....I don't see it.  My DH company keeps having mass layoffs  & some of the malls look like ghost towns.  Anyone else?

Hubby has been telling me that customers have been shopping for xmas gifts for the last couple months, so maybe that is why so many are not out now. Trying not to have to buy everything at once

Hoards are out there shopping. I don't know if they are spending as much.  There will always be those going into debt just to have what they think eveyone else has.

We went to the mall on Wednesday and they were fairly busy.  It was mostly teenagers though.  Although, Macy's was full of rude older women.  Oh, wait, those were the employees!

I hear you.  How can they afford to be rude & snooty with the economy the way it is right now???  Macys is barely making it.
