Another mom on here had given me a website where I could get help for things that I needed for my baby and I thought I would share that with everyone and possibly offer to help another mom in need.

I was given this website by another mom on here when I had posted about not being able to really celebrate Christmas because I couldn't even afford the necessities I needed for my baby.
On that website, you can post wishes you have or offer to grant someone else's. There are wishes just asking for prayers and some for other things that people need, want, or are asking for help with.
My wish was listed as a "need." I posted that I was looking for someone to help me out with diapers, wipes, diaper cream, blankets, etc... These were things I cannot get from welfare or WIC... and my SO has been unemployed until just recently. He still hasn't gotten his first paycheck, and he's working part time making minimum wage at a gas station now, which I am counting my blessings for since he could even find that job! (It's pretty sad when an Air Force vet can't even get a decent job.)
We will be lucky with the job he has now if we can afford to pay all of our utilities, rent, and other necessities we need such as toilet paper, deoderant, etc... All of the things we can't get from welfare or WIC. So we really needed help with baby things.
It has been really hard for me asking for any help at all - We had been able to afford everything we needed until this point when we ran out of savings and he couldn't find a job. It makes me feel like I'm begging for handouts - and I feel uncomfortable about it. But I had to do something because our baby is due in about 7-8 days.
Luckily, I've had 2 people offer to help me out with things that I needed and then-some.
One woman has sent me a HUGE box of baby clothes, diapers, blankets, crib sheets, etc... Most have been gently used- but I'm not going to complain.
I am still waiting on one person/group that said they would help me out with other things I needed such as diapers, diaper cream, wipes, bottles, and breastfeeding supplies.
I have been surprised that total strangers would offer to help me out at all. I feel unbelievably blessed for everything I've been given as well. I am beyond grateful for help I've gotten and I would like to help someone else out on here if I can.
I have a surplus of baby boy's clothing now and I didn't even ask for them! (I have no where to put all of these!) My son's closet is full. I also have some extra diapers I can give out as well to another mom in need. I do have a few extra blankets, crib sheets, receiving blankets, etc.. as well.
The clothes I have range in sizes and are all gently used. The blankets, crib sheets, etc.. are all gently used as well. The extra diapers I have are size newborn Parent's Choice diapers.
If you are a mom who is also in need, and some of these things might help you out- let me know. Write me a message and I will try to help you out the best that I can with what I listed.
I don't have much of any money, but I am willing to pay a couple dollars to ship these things out to help other moms.
I hope everyone has a happy holiday and that you all get what you need! =)
I don't know if I was the mom that sent that site link to you or not. I am always referring people to Wish Upon a Hero. I'm a Wish Ambassador and also run my own program through the Wish Upon a Hero Foundation. Wish Upon a Hero is truly a wonderful site. There are so many awesome HEROES out there just waiting for the next special person to help. We don't do it for recognition. We do it because we care! If you aren't a member of Wish Upon a Hero, it is free and fun! Please join us!
Also, if your husband is a military Vet, please contact the local American Legion, VA, or go to the site http://vetjobs.com/
If he has any disability rating through the military or VA, he can go through the DVA and they can help.
If he served in any war overseas, he can also go through the VFW, and they might be able to help him.
Good luck!

We were in a similar situation right before I had my twins at 7 mo prego my husband lost his job. When I had them, I used cloth diapers during the day and made my own baby wipes. I found tons of great baby stuff @ consignment stores for very little $$. If you donate childrens clothes and items that you do not use anymore they usually will give you $$ or a credit in store to purchase other items.
If you would like to help a family anywhere in the U.S. with a month supply of food....$25 is all it takes.
