Anyone know if Target does store closing sales? I have one shutting its doors at the end of January next to my work, and I would love some good sales :)
They've never closed one in my area, but if they are closing this month, I would think that the sales would already be happening.
Thats what I thought. They are obviously not restocking inventory. I went there last Friday and they had some sections empty. I just wasn't sure if they wait until 2 weeks before closing or something to start the really big sales. Everything there seemed to be normal sale stuff so far.

I didn't even know Target was closing doors on some of it's stores. What a shame.
I don't think its a big trend. This store has been pretty empty of people ever since I started my job near it (in July of 2009). There is a Super Walmart and a Super Target that both opened within 5 miles of this store, so I think it just doesn't have the sales to justify keeping it open. One of the Kmarts closing is about 4 miles from here as well; right around the corner from the Super Walmart.
