What are your kids going as this year?

Dom is currently obsessed with Mario from Nintendo, so I knit him a red hat and embroidered an "M" on it, we got him some overalls and a red shirt and I'm hoping he'll tolerate some eye liner for a mustache.

My oldest is going as Snow White and the youngest is going as an angel or a frog.  We'll see what she decides on last minute. lol

My oldest (6 - NT) is going as a princess this year.  it's an inexpensive version of a Cinderella dress.  She is so tall we could not get an actual Cinderella one big enough without spending a ridiculous amount of money.

My younger daughter (autistic) is not wearing a costume.  I got her a cute Halloween shirt to wear.  The last two years we got her costumes and she was miserable.  Last year she was violently opposed to trick or treating.  She doesn't eat candy.  So I decided Halloween is not a Cara holiday and there is no good reason to submit her to something that she considers torture.  So Cara will probably just hang out here at home and relax and enjoy being in her world.

My son loves to dress up (usually as a princess - that's what happens when you are the only boy in the family lol) but last year he wasn't keen on going trick or treating.  So he stayed home with me and watched Veggie Tales.  I'm not sure what he'll do this year.  We've been talking about it a lot with him so we'll see.

We love halloween. My son was indiana jones and my daughter was a pony. I only get as into it as my kids get. I try and follow their vibe. This year was the most excited I've ever been. So I put up a journal about it on my CM homepage. We had a nice time in our little party at home.

OMG!!!  I haven't even started thinking about that yet.  You are such the planner!!! I wish I was...  usually they go with something that deals with Disney.  Last year my daughter was Little Mermaid.  The year before that she was Mulan.  Robbie was a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle last year (which is not Disney, I know). But the year before that he was Buzz Lightyear. Tzipporah is always talking about princesses and Nemo.  Robbie really hasn't latched onto anything this year a of yet.  We will see.

My 4yr old son (asd) is terrified of wearing a costume, though doesn't mind if someone else does... so maybe I'll put him in a halloween t-shirt or sweatshirt or what have you so he can still enjoy the festivities---(which he does like)
