Hi I have a 10 yr old step-son with ADHD currently on Adderal not sure if this the right med for him; and the Doctors in my area are soooo appossed to changing medication. As an nurse and a mom I find this very fustrating!!!

Yes, medication can become ineffective over time. The child's weight changes and sometimes the medication amount or type needs to be altered a bit. Talk to the prescribing physician. Good luck! :)
