Hi my name is Donna and I provide child care for a boy with ADHD. I live in the home with his family and I have been wondering if his recent aggressive behavior is part of his ADHD.
He has been having trouble at school lately,he's been spitting, trying to bite and not keeping his hands to himself. I was wondering if anyone has some advice on what to do?
Is the child medicated or not? Has there been any changes as of late that he could be stressing over?

He is medicated and the dosage just increased. The only stressor that I can think of is his Mother came over 2 weeks ago. She doesn't come by ofren.
Thank you, I hope he gets away from the Aggression soon. The school is threatening to file a report with social services, because of it.
the Aggressiveness started before the increase in meds. I hope we can help him out soon.
His meds can deffinately cause some of the aggression and bad behavior, you may need to talk to his doc, and change up the dosage or new meds all together. The other thing is, if his Mother isn't around and only comes in every once in a while he could be acting out there too.
Does he go to a counsellor? If not, I would HIGHLY suggest starting. It can help him learn to express himself better without the anger and hostility...or at the very least help you and the family learn to deal with it in a more positive way.

Is he on meds? Some of them like Concerta made my oldest a lot more aggressive and he was passive by nature. Adderall maybe him a little bit more passive, but at night time he would get more aggressive probably around the time it was wearing off, but it was only towards his brother, which hit him back. I thought on Concerta it was ok, because his brother and his little friend would originally beat the crap out of him and he would take it, so I thought maybe it was ok for him to stand up for himself. But, when it involves school thats when things need to be re-evaluated.
I just had to lower my daughters dose of Concerta bc it did the same. The aggression would just come out of no where. It's still not a great fit for her but it beats getting called to the school everyday. Good luck!!
