On the road to healthy eating, you do have to give up some things. But luckily you can subsitiute it for others.....

White Bread- Go wheat or sprouted grain. Read the lables! If there is any white or enriched white flour, pass it up! You want only wheat flour. I like Healthy Way's Sprouted Grain bread. They sell it at Costco. It comes in a pack of two. We divide it up and freeze the rest (since we don't fly through bread) And with this bread, it does not have that "freezer" taste. We love it!!

Pasta- Same as above! Costco has good wholewheat pastas. Or you can go to Fred Meyer or Kroger in their bulk/organic section and get it bulk

Refined Sugar- I know I will eat cookies and goodies. The key is not to make it a habit, make it a treat. When making cookies, try whole wheat pastry flour (also in bulk section of FM) and unrefined sugar. Play around with recipes or find some good ones, and share them with inquiring minds!

DID YOU KNOW? Anything with high fructose corn syrup is VERY bad for you? It activates you apetite! 90% of what is in your food is in the first 5 ingredients, if it is listed there- don't do it! Try to stay away from it all together. BBQ sauce has it and so many other things.... WATCH YOUR LABELS!!!

I have a MAJOR MAJOR sweet tooth.  Probably my biggest downfall.  Cookies and coffee every morning for breakfast. (horrible, hah!)  But i have a cookie recipie that is not 100% healthy, but definetly is packed full of lots of yummy and healty stuff and is also made with whole wheat flour.  If anyone would like the recipe just let me know.
