so i Love pancakes... they are one of my favorite foods... and they are quick and easy.... but they are a lot of fluff and sugar... empty calories... untill now... i have tweeked my pancakes to make them a bit better as morning fuel... instead of using buttemilk mix i found in the bulk section of my grocery store a 9 grain mix... mmm yum... it is NOT a just add water mix you have to use egg and milk. however i found that they tend to be a bit dry... so i add a big dollop of applesause to the batter makes em moist and i can sneek a bit more fruit into DH and DS, i also add bluberrys to them occasionaly. or bannanas...
but my bid problem withthem is the butter and syrup on top... LOTS of empty calories... the solution... yogurt... gives a bit of sweet and that creamy mouthfeal that butter has but much better for you... now imagine this on a warm summer saturday breakfast... blueberry pancakes with lemon yogurt on topp... its like summer and sunshine in your mouth... try em i bet you and your fam will like em...
anyone else have any good morning fuel tips? do share...

Yummy, that sounds delicious!  I'll have to try them--after all, I need to use up my blueberries anyway.  LOL  Thanks for the post.
