First off "Hi Im new and my name is Samantha."

I have four pounds of dried cherries and I have no idea what to do with them. Any ideas? I was thinking about making muffins? Can you use dried fruit in muffin mixes or even pancakes?

I also have a lot of dry beans..kidney, navy, whole peas, cannellini and Im not too sure as to what I should do with them either. I suppose its more of the preparing the beans that has prevented me from actually going about using them. I am however tired of looking at them in the cabinet. Any ideas here?

Thanks so much for any ideas!

hello!
i dont know what to tell you about the beans, i cant cook those worth a darn...
as for the cherries... yes you can add them to muffins or pancakes however i would sugjest that if possible soak them in a bit of whatever liqid is going into the batter first for about 10 min to let them reconstitute a bit. i did a post a while back about 9 grain panckes you might give those a try...
you could also try adding the cherries to some walnuts or almonds for a quick on the go healthy snack.
they would also be yummy on/in cereal too... btw... i love dried fruit...

Thank you, I would never have thought about reconstituting them at all. and for some reason I didnt even think about just eating them, maybe because I have so many....hahha

LInk did work, and that looks pretty easy to make, so I just might have to try it! Thank you.
I have had dried cranberries on a salad, and I like the idea of putting cherries on one too. Maybe a salad with turkey. hmm.
Thanks you got me thinking, I guess I just needed some ideas to get my brain going. :]
