I've recently wanted to cut down on the caffiene too.  I think it's finally affecting how well I sleep.  Now my plan is to limit my coffee drinking to "before noon"  :)

I would gradually decrease the amount over a period of time.  ... decreasing one serving every two days, possibly.

If it's coffee, you could try adding decaff to regular or even 1/2 caff to your regular.

If it's something like red bull, you could try diluting it with some similar flavor (or new flavor) fruit juice (and water if it's too strong).

If I can be of further help, I'd be glad to!  Hope this helps

jolt cherry bomb is my caffeine beverage of choice lol. it tastes just like dr. pepper and i loooove it. one drink is like 3 cups of coffee i usually drink one a day maybe. today i only drank half of a one because i need drink water for a run. its just the best stuff ever. and sometimes my mom has coffee ready for me when i wake up in the mornings. how could i say no to that. i will try cutting down though. but sometimes i need a pick me up in the middle of the day when things are hectic at home with the kids. idk what else i should drink though when i get real busy at home and i am drowsey from beeing at work in the morning.

Well it sounds like you're doing well cutting down - Now it's just a matter of staying energized.  I would suggest a healthy energy boosting snack in between meals like a bite or two of almonds.  It's a great source of protien and good fat - which you probably already know since you are drinking water instead of jolt cherry bomb before running   :)

i think i remember reading somewhere that one of the B vitamins will help keep you energized without caffeine... maby a multi vitamin suppliment in the morning.

also the best thing that i have found for those lack of caffeine headaches is a low dose of IBP and a big glass of water.

maybe i'll talk to my dr. about what vitamins i should take. i herd if you take vitamins your body doesn't feel the need to make them because your takeing them. idk. lol.

If you need an energy boost, try the drinkable supplement EmergenC. It comes in tons of flavors. It has lots of vitamins and minerals and it tastes like fruity fizzy drink. You can find it anywhere nowadays. It's around $10 for a box of like 25 packets, something likethat. I really swear by it, you can also take it when you are coming down with a cold.
