There are those superstitious fools and cat-haters who think that black cats are devils and purposely run them over, torture them or or want to get them for black magic sacrifices...
Many animal shelters will not put black cats up for adoption in Oct. because of this...
NO ! I AM NOT BEING PARANOID !!!...
THESE ARE WORDS OF WARNING : PLEASE KEEP YOUR BLACK CATS INSIDE DURING THE END OF OCT. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She is soooo right! Any animal for that matter. People do strange things to animals this time of year. It's what gives the witches a bad name. People put witches Wicca and devil worship all in the same lump because they don't know any better. Sooo Long story, sorry, watch your animals tonight. Happy Halloween Ladies.
They place all they do not understand or do not understand into the same column. Either chain them up (if they are too big to bring in) or bring them in... some people even take them to pet boarding homes for 3 or 4 days to make sure they are safe.
