Same here! I tend to throw in some carrots and serve with crescent rolls and its a nice dinner. Not for everyone, but it works for us.

I'm not a fan of boxed dinners. They're so unhealthy.

you can take the box meal and short cut in to so many more meals. not just what the box says.

not all of them have a "gross" smell

we have garlic toast with ours & my daughter makes it into a sandwich!! we only have HH maybe twice a month. so it may not be the healthiest food out there, but my kids like it & i know they'll eat it.

I remember my mom trying hamburger helper years ago and I was not a fan. Neither was she and she never made it again.   When I married my hubby he would say every once in a while, "How about some HH?"  He remembered his mom cooking it and he had liked it.  I held off  making it all these years but these posts got me thinking.  "Maybe it is better than I remember."  I broke down and bought a box of the crunchy taco flavor.  Last night was the night.  Needless to say, noone in my family liked it.  My hubby and kids were kind of picking at it and eating very slowly.  Noone was saying anything about it either way.  Then my 7 year old, who is a human garbage disposal, asked to be excused saying it was very filling and he was no longer hungry.  I then shared my opinion on how it was not better than when I was a kid and then, with a sigh of relief,  my whole family piped up and agreed.  We all laughed, dumped it out in the trash and made a few peanut butter and honey sandwiches instead.

Bottom line........We wont be buying HH again.  Blech!

That's because the Taco is gross! Try the Stroganoff.
