We've been making smoothies for a few weeks now, and I LOVE that I can use up all the baby cereal that everyone purchased for me and LO refuses to eat!
16 ounces kefir (we use homemade, but you can choose an unflavored store-bought)
1/2 to 1 cup baby cereal (we've used oatmeal and rice, but anything should work)
One 29 ounce can peaches, drained
3 tablespoons flax OR chia seeds
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 banana, optional
Blend until incorporated.
This recipe makes two HUGE smoothies, about 20 ounces each. They're great to drink in the car if you don't have time for a proper "sit-down" breakfast.
